Hyphastructure launches distributed edge cloud to power real-time AI at scale

Hyphastructure has introduced the first edge cloud network with distribution point options tailor-made for physical AI to deliver ultra-low-latency, high-performance computing at the edge.

The platform delivers AI inference latency of less than 10 milliseconds-ideal for real-time use cases, such as autonomous robotics, V2V collision avoidance and smart city infrastructure.

It is combined with Intel Gaudi 3 AI accelerators, software defined network (SDN), and bare-metal virtualization for agile deployment and management of AI models.

Noted advantages of the solution are accelerated AI deployment (hours instead of weeks), and a 40% TCO advantage over GPU-based systems, along with limitless scale for AI workloads.

“Hyphastructure delivers the infrastructure layer AI-powered industries have been waiting for,” says Michael Huerta, CEO of Hyphastructure. “By moving inference to the edge, we’re removing latency barriers and opening the door to transformative applications from tele-surgery to robotics that were impossible before.”

The network edge processes data, avoiding latency and bandwidth problems of centralized cloud facilities to allow real-time decision-making and supports use cases such as smart cities (traffic, crime, emergency coordination), smart retail (real-time shelf monitoring), autonomous systems (collision avoidance) and AR/VR gaming with sub-10ms latency.

The platform revolutionizes edge computing by bringing data center grade infrastructure directly to where data is created.

Hyphastructure’s new capabilities are poised to revolutionize industries that need real-time intelligence and coordination.
