Corpus Christi emerges as edge hub with Duos Edge AI data center buildout

Duos Edge AI, a subsidiary of Duos Technologies Group, is deploying two new edge data centers (EDCs) in Corpus Christi, Texas, by the end of July 2025.

These EDCs will act as communication hubs for carriers, supporting mobile operators, enterprises, education, healthcare, and the digital economy. The deployment is part of Duos Edge AI’s 2025 plan to establish 15 EDCs nationwide, focusing on underserved and high growth markets.

The EDCs provide high-availability, localized computing power, enabling efficient scaling for fiber and network providers. The company emphasizes rapid deployment (90 days), modular design, and proximity to end users (within 12 miles) to enhance real-time data processing.

“Our Corpus Christi project highlights the speed, precision, and value of our edge AI model,” says Doug Recker, President and Founder of Duos Edge AI. “We’re delivering high-availability, localized computing power that enables fiber and network providers to scale efficiently and meet increasing demand at the edge. We are bringing a state-of-the-art EDC solution to Corpus Christi to enable the major communications carriers to have an even more robust solution to the Corpus Christi market.”

The project highlights Duos’ commitment to expanding next-generation infrastructure and accelerating edge connectivity for regional partners. By targeting underserved, high-growth regions, Duos is not only addressing digital equity but also creating new network nodes optimized for AI workloads, which is an essential step as generative AI and machine learning increasingly demand localized, high-availability compute resources.
