Zadara and BroadBand Tower have partnered to provide Zadara Edge Cloud Services to launch BroadBand Tower’s c9 Flex-N Infrastructure-as-a-Service Platform in Japan. The companies say this full-stack cloud solution offers storage, compute and networking services.
“We are excited to work with BroadBand Tower to power the c9 Flex-N platform and to help us move to our next phase of growth,” says Nelson Nahum, the CEO of Zadara.
BroadBand Tower provides internet services and cloud solutions for a large portion of Japan. It supports portal sites, e-commerce sites, video distribution sites and social media organizations that produce significant data.
BroadBand Tower says its c9 Flex-N system is the first full-stack cloud service in Japan that provides customers with flexible and open cloud environments for all service layers, such as hardware-as-a-service (HaaS), infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and software-as-a-service (SaaS).
“BroadBand Tower’s goal is to enable our customers to store, manage and retrieve their data quickly and efficiently and allow them to focus on innovating and growing their businesses,” says Hiroshi Fujiwara, Ph.D., the chairman, president and CEO of BroadBand Tower.
The c9 Flex-N service, powered by Zadara Edge Cloud, provides customers with a hybrid and/or multi-cloud environment that permits the movement of workloads without vendor lock-in or long-term commitments. The service is supported 24/7/365 and uses is sold on a utility consumption model, company executives say.
“BroadBand Tower is one of the largest players in a market where we have been making valuable inroads. Zadara’s Edge Cloud Services make sense as the underpinning for the new c9 Flex-N IaaS platform and for growing our presence in the crucial Japanese marketplace,” adds Nahum.
In late 2022, Zadara made headlines for announcing a strategic partnership with Kinx, an internet infrastructure service company, for providing edge cloud storage services in Korea. Zadara’s zStorage storage-as-a-service was integrated into Kinx CloudHub, which links nine cloud service providers in Korea.
