Veea and Genesys Impact launch edge-only AI platform for construction site safety and asset tracking

Veea and Genesys Impact introduced an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based, on-premise Safety and Asset Intelligence solution for construction sites operating 100% at the edge and totally independent of cloud connectivity.

The platform combines Veea’s MetaLynx smart construction and Crowdkeep tracking technology, providing real-time safety, compliance and asset tracking.

VeeaHub devices establish their own self-forming, self-healing mesh network, and perform video analytics and telemetry at the edge, supporting data sovereignty and privacy. Highlights include in-flight safety compliance alerts, no-go-zone entry prevention, asset monitoring, and anomaly detection, all with configurable policies and alerts.

“We are excited to have worked with Genesys and MCN on the industry’s first AI-powered end-to-end solution for smart construction that we have implemented in Frederick, MD,” adds Allen Salmasi, Veea CEO. “By integrating RTLS IoT technologies, AI/ML-driven computer vision applications with AI/ML-enabled purpose driven cybersecurity and LLM tools, we’re installing worksites with a ‘smart nervous system’ real-time awareness, local autonomy, and demonstrable ROI. This is the first of many projects in development.”

It increases safety and compliance efforts and runs more efficiently while minimizing the risks of data breaches and also operational disruptions. Its scalable architecture suits large sites with models and policies updated around the mesh network.

The solution delivers enhanced situational awareness, real-time compliance automation and greater asset utilization and creates significant ROI for construction sites.

Veea’s edge-native model deco5 architecture is inherently low latency, highly secure and local autonomous, and can be easily repurposed for other verticals including universities and factories.
