Red Hat brings its Ansible Automation Platform to Google Cloud

Red Hat, an open-source software provider, has made its Ansible automation platform available on Google Cloud. With the integration of Red Hat Ansible on Google Cloud, the company says it offers users a straightforward, highly adaptable IT automation solution that reaches from the cloud to the data center and the edge, all with no extra complexity or special training needed.

Red Hat believes that as more companies adopt multi-cloud infrastructure, they become more reliant on their in-house technical expertise and infrastructure resources. The company says that the Red Hat Ansible automation platform on Google Cloud enables customers to deploy secure, cloud-optimized, scalable automation more readily.

“We’re giving organizations a greater choice, flexibility, and ease in deploying our solutions across the hybrid cloud in support of nearly any enterprise cloud operating model,” said Thomas Anderson, the vice president of Ansible, Red Hat. “Then, automation is the glue that brings these services together. So, with a leading solution like Ansible Automation Platform, you can build on its innovation and scalability to establish critical consistency across your cloud footprint.”

Packaged cloud content like Red Hat Ansible Certified Content Collection for Google Cloud helps perform automation in customers’ environments and across the organization by enabling more efficient ways to create, share and manage content, with the security to run it when and where it’s needed.

The Red Hat Ansible-certified content collection for Google Cloud enables users to efficiently and securely deploy automation applications. Red Hat says its IT teams can seamlessly integrate automation into existing organizational processes and governance frameworks to meet increasing demand while providing a dependable, comprehensive cloud automation experience.

The company says the Red Hat Ansible automation platform aims to lower entry barriers and reduce IT workload.

Google Cloud customers can take advantage of the Ansible automation platform using Google’s pre-integrated services, including Google Virtual Private Cloud, security groups, load balancers, Google Compute and instance groups.

“Google Cloud Marketplace greatly simplifies the deployment of the Ansible platform on Google Cloud, bringing customers integrated billing and management capabilities and faster access to Google Cloud’s trusted infrastructure for their automation projects,” said Dai Vu, the managing director of marketplace & ISV GTM programs at Google Cloud.

Ansible joins existing products such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux for SAP, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat OpenShift software on Google Cloud.
