M1’s 5G network plus Blacknut: aiming for a better cloud gaming experience in Singapore

If you are in Singapore and using M1’s true 5G network, here’s some good news: M1 Limited, one of Singapore’s leading mobile network operators (MNO) has collaborated with the famous cloud gaming producer Blacknut. These two pioneering companies in their respective markets have decided to leverage 5G and edge computing to bring an enhanced user experience to 5G-powered cloud games in Singapore.

“We are excited to show the game-changing prowess of 5G through our partnership with Blacknut to level up gaming experiences for Singaporean gamers,” said Manjot Singh Mann, the CEO of M1. “Powered by 5G connectivity, M1 is on track to create an inclusive gaming ecosystem by enabling affordable and accessible gaming options,” he added.

The service provider has been one of the early operators to test 5G in Singapore and has already expanded to about 65% of the country. Leveraging the power and speed of M1’s 5G network, executives said the users can expect a “seamless and uninterrupted gaming experience.”

One part of the partnership strategy is the addition of acclaimed games to the catalog in a bid to get users to switch to the M1 mobile network. Some titles include are Overcooked, Lord of Fallen, Modern Combat 5, Asphalt 9 in the pool of more than 450 high-quality PC and console titles. The service provider has been one of the early operators to test 5G in Singapore and has already expanded to about 65% of the country. Leveraging the power and speed of M1’s 5G network, the users can expect a “seamless and uninterrupted gaming experience’.

“We are excited to show the game-changing prowess of 5G through our partnership with Blacknut to level up gaming experiences for Singaporean gamers,” says the Chief Executive Officer of M1 mobile network provider, Mr. Manjot Singh Mann. “Powered by 5G connectivity, M1 is on track to create an inclusive gaming ecosystem by enabling affordable and accessible gaming options.”

The collaboration is set to give M1 more experience with developing the ecosystem around 5G; the company noted they have already have recorded over 15 5G use cases across consumer, enterprise and government sectors. Additionally, M1 plans to partner with Workforce Singapore to provide a training platform to upskill at least 10% of the workforce to the latest skills in 5G and other technology. The companies’ official announcement mentions the release of more details in Q2 2022.
