Latent AI and Wind River team up to embed edge AI in mission-critical systems

Edge AI solutions provider Latent AI and Wind River are collaborating to deliver intelligent edge AI on mission-critical systems for real-time, secure, and adaptive decision-making.
The partnership combines Wind River’s edge compute software stacks (VxWorks, Wind River Linux, eLxr Pro) and Latent AI’s Efficient Inference Platform (LEIP) for high-performance AI inference at the edge.
LEIP compacts AI models by up to 10x while preserving accuracy, ensuring real-time decision-making and operating in fast-changing environments.
“This partnership marks a turning point for edge AI, moving from pilots to powering mission-critical systems from fighter jets to Mars rovers,”says Jags Kandasamy, CEO and co-founder, Latent AI.“ With Wind River’s proven RTOS leadership, we’re transforming how AI integrates into critical infrastructure. Together, we’re fundamentally transforming how AI integrates into the backbone of critical infrastructure.”
The solution brings together best-in-class AI optimization from enterprise-grade to the proven-RTOS, ideal for intelligent edge systems. Application developers can release AI apps with the appropriate reliability and certification necessary for mission-critical sectors.
Wind River’s edge-to-cloud solutions, including VxWorks and Wind River Linux, are recognized worldwide as mission critical technologies for secure, scalable, and reliable intelligent systems.
This collaboration will be the latest in a series of edge AI initiatives Wind River has, such as with DEEPX and SiMa. ai, and Nota AI.
