DataBank was recently shortlisted for a 2022 Global Carrier Award in the Best Data Center and Edge Innovation category. The company saw growth in existing markets and made significant acquisitions throughout the past year. The company says it also established partnerships with various wholesale carriers, which helped solidify the digital environment and create opportunities for real-time apps.
For example, DataBank recently worked with Corsa Security, a firewall virtualization technology provider based in Ottawa, to deliver managed virtual firewall services. DataBank also entered a reseller agreement with Radware, which provides network edge security and application delivery solutions, to help prevent DDoS attacks, for example. DataBank also recently acquired 18 acres of land in Atlanta, Georgia, and an existing data center facility.
According to Databank, Global Carrier Awards judges look for innovative nominees who have transformed the telecom landscape. DataBank said the judges selected the company because of its cutting-edge product offerings and commitment to providing an immersive experience for end users.
The Global Carrier Awards are part of wholesale telecoms and connectivity’s most prestigious awards program. The Best Data Center and Edge Innovation category celebrates the most innovative product, solution, or initiative related to data centers or edge service provision in 2022.
DataBank says it has more data centers in more metros than any other provider. Plus, it has on-ramps to an ecosystem of cloud providers and a modular edge data center platform that provides virtually unlimited reach.
Raul K. Martynek, CEO of DataBank, said the company’s nomination for the award aligns well with its goals and continued innovation in the telecom space. He added that DataBank is always looking ahead to where the market is going and what its customers need.
The awards ceremony will take place during Capacity Europe 2022 October 18-20, 2022 in London.
