Avassa becomes Red Hat Partner, collaborates on edge container management solutions

Avassa announced its partnership with Red Hat Technology and is working to develop solutions for managing containers at the edge.

“This collaboration will enable us to work closely with Red Hat and their users to extend current cloud tooling and processes at the edge,”  says Carl Moberg, the CTO of Avassa.  “Red Hat has a unique set of solution offerings, and we can’t wait to embark on new projects and opportunities together with them.”

As a Red Hat partner, Avassa says it provides purpose-built tooling for managing containers at the edge to Red Hat customers. Avassa benefits from Red Hat’s wide network of experts and partners.

Avassa Edge Enforcer, certified on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, is a horizontal solution that has been deployed in various verticals such as retail, hospitality and industrial. Avassa and Red Hat seek to grow their customer base in edge-native verticals around the EMEA region.

“Their deep expertise in orchestration and automation for the edge, combined with Red Hat’s industry-leading technologies, will enable us to deliver even more innovative edge solutions to customers,” says Andrea Battaglia, the head of edge business development with the EMEA Ecosystem at Red Hat.

Earlier this month, Flasheye partnered with Avassa to use its edge application management platform. With Avassa, FlashEye says it can now offer its technology as a service with secure and automated sensor management.

The Avassa platform will also help FlashEye optimize industrial production lines and guarantee safety while preserving privacy and integrity, Flasheye executives say.
