Armada and Nscale outline global hub-and-spoke model for Sovereign AI infrastructure

Edge infrastructure solutions provider Armada and Nscale have inked a Letter of Intent (LOI) to create an offering for public and private sector clients that will see large cloud scale and edge AI infrastructure delivered worldwide.

Nscale is an AI infrastructure company, bringing together massive supercomputer clusters, while Armada offers modular data centers and the Armada Edge Platform (AEP).

“There is increasing demand from enterprises and governments for operational AI, and meeting that need requires infrastructure that is scalable, distributed, and ultimately sovereign,” says Josh Payne, Founder and CEO of Nscale. “By working with Armada, we will be able to offer customers a flexible foundation for deploying advanced AI workloads wherever they need to operate, without compromising performance, security, or control.”

The alliance plans to provide sovereign AI solutions, allowing for secure and compliant AI infrastructure in regions where no such infrastructure is currently available.

It’s a hub-and-spoke model that leverages Nscale’s massively scaled data centers, integrated with Armada’s spread out, smaller deployments for edge functionalities.

This approach fast-tracks the AI adoption by offering companies and countries the same: a scalable, distributed and sovereign infrastructure.

The collaboration enables global fast AI infrastructure-as-code deployment and consistent performance, security, and compliance.

Together, both companies hope to establish a replicable blueprint for deploying AI infrastructure around the globe.
