Wiwynn to debut new edge servers and cooling systems at MWC Barcelona 2024

Wiwynn, a cloud IT infrastructure provider for data centers, will exhibit new edge computing solutions and cooling tech at the Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2024.

The company plans to showcase its ES100G2, ES200G2 and EP100G2 edge servers at the event, all featuring 5th Gen Intel Xeon Processors, NVQual certification, and NEBS Level 3 compliance. These servers target empowering telcos, edge service providers, and CDN providers to explore new networking and edge computing opportunities with improved efficiency.

Wiwynn’s ES200G2 is a 2U single-socket edge server designed for edge AI and vRAN workloads. With CPU acceleration, dual-width GPUs, NVMe SSDs and network scalability, the company says it works well for AI tasks, 3D graphics, rendering and video analytics. Wiwynn says the servers are ideal for service providers in CDN, smart city and smart factory applications.

Meanwhile, the Wiwynn ES100G2 is a compact 1U single socket edge server designed for vRAN/NFV applications at the far edge. With a built-in CPU accelerator, telemetry and security features, it supports networking tasks like vRAN CU/DU and SDNs, helping service providers achieve more efficient deployments, the company notes.

Wiwynn’s EP100G2 is a short-depth server platform for 5G Open vRAN and MEC applications. It offers flexibility with server nodes in 1U or 2U configurations, simplifying workload deployment and empowering telcos with greater efficiency and scalability.

Wiwynn also introduces liquid cooling solutions for AI applications, expanding from cloud data centers to edge environments. This technology enhances computing power and cooling efficiency for edge data centers, core networks and telecom rooms.

Steven Lu, the executive VP of Wiwynn, highlights the company’s commitment to delivering optimized solutions for workloads, total cost of ownership and energy efficiency.

“We’re geared up to partner with more telcos, edge service providers, CDN providers and system integrators, facilitating rich edge applications in the AI era while striking a balance between performance, efficiency, scalability and energy,” Lu adds.

Wiwynn is a cloud IT infrastructure provider that offers computing, storage products and rack solutions for data centers. Earlier this year, Wiwynn refreshed its edge server line with the 5th gen Intel Xeon processors for improved network capabilities, accelerators, efficiency and reduced TCO.

AI-driven applications using large language models (LLM) need efficient data processing, high computing power and quick responses for inference and local model fine-tuning, according to Wiwynn.
