Wipro, Nokia to propel enterprise digital transformation with 5G private wireless tech

Wipro Limited and Nokia partner to develop a private wireless solution to scale enterprise digital transformation.

Lourdes Charles, the VP of 5G connectivity services at Wipro engineering edge, says: “Working in collaboration with Nokia, we are excited to further fuel innovation for our customers in the market.”

This joint solution presents enterprises with a secure 5G private wireless network that integrates into their infrastructure. Offering reliability, mobility, high-speed connectivity, real-time insights and efficient data processing, this solution empowers enterprises with enhanced performance and security management, the companies say.

As per Wipro and Nokia, this technology amplifies speed, reliability and security for businesses, enhancing efficiency through AI automation. The imminent launch targets manufacturing, energy, utilities, transportation and sports entertainment customers.

Jo Debecker, the global head of Wipro FullStride Cloud, emphasizes the importance of data processing, accessibility and security in today’s digital era.

“Traditional infrastructures are being stretched and performance is impacting business value and, in some cases, human lives through emerging areas such as remote-controlled robotic surgery,” Debecker notes.

Nokia will supply Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) and Modular Private Wireless (MPW) solutions. At the same time, Wipro will guide integration into enterprise environments through its 5G Def-i and Industry DOT platforms.

Wipro notes that it offers customized solutions for clients’ business challenges, delivering network implementation and management.

Stephan Litjens, the VP of enterprise campus edge computing solutions at Nokia, says that by collaborating with Wipro, they aim to deliver a secure 5G network solution that integrates into enterprise infrastructure, boosting digital transformation.

“This partnership with Wipro will unlock new capabilities to help businesses in various sectors experience enhanced connectivity and AI-driven operational efficiencies, ushering them to the forefront of innovation,” adds Lityens.
