Tonaquint, a data center solutions provider, is upgrading its recently acquired EdgeX data center facility in Oklahoma City. The company plans to expand and enhance the facility.

Tonaquint is transforming the former EdgeX facility into a multi-client environment, with an initial deployment of 2.5 MW of critical IT load. The facility has an expansion capacity of up to 12 MW and offers chilled water cooling for high-density workloads. Other improvements include a revamped client reception area and meeting rooms.

Terry Morrison, Tonaquint’s COO and CTO, states that the facility will meet the needs of new clients and the growing capacity demands of AI workloads.

“These enhancements further position this facility as one of the region’s most future-forward and resilient data centers,” states Morrison.’’

Tonaquint offers cloud, colocation, backup, disaster recovery and network-as-a-service solutions It serves clients in the technology, healthcare, financial services and industrial sectors. With facilities in the Mountain West and Southwest regions of the United States, Tonaquint serves mid-market organizations. In 2022, Tonaquint was acquired by DIF Capital Partners.

The Tier III data center spans 65,000 square feet with two 10,000 square feet data halls and is located near Will Rogers World Airport. Tonaquint notes the facility has 100% uptime and can withstand winds up to 310 mph. The company says it offers high-density capacity and geographic options for various client workloads.

Tonaquint will be accepting client orders for delivery starting in April.
