SLB taps Zededa to tackle edge AI challenges in remote energy operations

Zededa announced a strategic collaboration with SLB last week, which will integrate its edge computing platform into SLB’s Agora edge AI and IoT solutions.
The platform enables real-time data analysis in remote and challenging environments, improving safety, efficiency, and decision-making.
“SLB is a technology leader in the energy industry that is committed to digital transformation,” says Said Ouissal, founder and CEO of Zededa. “We’re excited to collaborate with SLB to develop and deploy innovative AI-driven solutions that empower the global energy sector with advanced data insights, enabling better-informed decisions and more efficient operations.”
The collaboration focuses on developing next-generation edge AI and computing solutions.
Zededa’s open, cloud-native platform simplifies security, remote management, and deployment of edge infrastructure and applications at scale. SLB will leverage Zededa’s platform to address challenges like intermittent connectivity, security, and remote IT support.
Zededa’s solution is built on an open architecture (EVE-OS by the Linux Foundation), ensuring flexibility and preventing vendor lock-in.
