Nexcom launches NDiS B340 targeting scalable industrial edge deployments

Nexcom has launched the NDiS B340, an edge computing platform that is cost-efficient and expandable to ensure scaling and longevity.

Optional PCIe expansion (DockInfinity-E4X1) allows deployment of high-performance SD-Edge and other specialized applications.

It supports several low-power platforms for Intel, providing power efficiency and scalability without necessitating costly redesign. The fanless and ruggedized body is designed for 24/7 operation with application across smart retail, digital signage, industrial control, and transportation.

SQL compatibility and its high input/output rate (over 19500/5700 IOPS) make Triton a worthwhile option for real-time applications such as capturing software events from the system, an interesting feature that can be useful when developing systematic performance tuning scenarios and analyzing long-term performance.

An optional PCIe expansion module with a half-length PCIe x4 slot is also available, allowing for use in applications such as PoE and capture cards or custom modules, complete with dedicated TPM 2.0 security and watchdog support.

The NDiS B340 will be presented at Embedded World Nuremberg 2026 to demonstrate more capabilities and expandability.

Last year Nexcom launched a portable edge platform for reliable off-grid internet.
