Duos Edge AI opens 5th edge data center in rural Texas panhandle

Duos Technologies Group subsidiary Duos Edge AI announced the installation of its fifth edge data center (EDC) in Dumas, Texas, in conjunction with Dumas Independent School District (Dumas ISD).
The EDC offers on-site, low-latency computing for K-12 education and economic development in the small rural community.
The deployment is a part of Duos Edge AI’s 2025 strategy to build 15 modular EDCs across the country in underserved and high-growth markets.
“This partnership with Dumas ISD is a perfect example of how edge technology can create lasting impact in rural communities,” says Doug Recker, newly appointed President of Duos Technologies Group and the founder of subsidiary, Duos Edge AI. “By placing powerful computing infrastructure directly on campus, we’re helping schools like Dumas unlock real-time digital tools that drive student achievement, workforce readiness, and community growth.”
Dumas ISD EDC provides upgraded digital infrastructure that allows for more robust educational tools, better connectivity and immediate data processing among students and staff.
Being located within 12 miles of the end user is the company’s goal with these EDCs to provide dependable, secure and scalable technology access.
