Armada and Wipro forge global alliance to push industrial AI to the edge

Armada, an edge computing infrastructure company and Wipro announced a global partnership to deploy industrial and AI-driven applications at the edge for enterprise customers.
The collaboration focuses on running critical workloads, such as drilling optimization and AI analytics, directly at the edge using Armada’s Edge Platform. The partnership supports deployments in extreme environments, reducing dependency on centralized cloud infrastructure and enabling real-time operations in low-connectivity scenarios.
IT firm Wipro extends its cloud expertise to the edge, leveraging Armada’s modular data centers to deliver enterprise-grade applications in remote and harsh environments.
“The edge is no longer a future concept – it’s the new frontier for enterprise operations,” says Pradeep Nair, founding CTO of Armada. “Our partnership with Wipro brings together deep infrastructure and domain expertise to run cloud-native applications where they’re needed most: in the field. This is a foundational shift for global energy operations.”
Initial deployments are underway with a global oil and gas provider, with plans to expand into industries like mining, manufacturing, logistics, and utilities.
Key benefits include reduced latency, improved performance, and the ability to run mission-critical workloads in disconnected environments.
The joint solution integrates with Azure Services and is already being deployed in regions like North America, the Middle East, and Latin America. This partnership is a clear indicator of edge computing’s role in transforming industrial operations and real-time decision-making across distributed environments.
