Advantech integrates Edge Impulse tools to streamline edge AI deployment

Advantech has partnered with Edge Impulse, a Qualcomm company, to simplify the integration of AI in IoT devices.

The collaboration brings Edge Impulse’s AI lifecycle and development tools to Advantech’s edge computing platforms, streamlining AI workflows and helping lower the threshold for development. Bringing faster prototyping, deployment and scaling of AI projects across various industries including manufacturing, healthcare, logistics and smart cities.

Advantech will pre-integrate Edge Impulse tools onto its platforms such as AI motherboards, inference systems, servers, cameras, and development kits. The integration streamlines processes from model training to deployment, saving time and resources for developers.

“As the edge AI ecosystem matures, developers need sophisticated tooling that is capable of scaling deployments into production,” says Zach Shelby, VP, product management, Qualcomm Finland RFFE Oy. “Advantech’s global reach, proven industry expertise, comprehensive platform and portfolios make them an ideal collaborator for scaling edge AI. Together, we plan to make AI development more intuitive and accessible, so that developers and enterprises can accelerate innovation and bring smarter solutions to market faster.”

The initiative enables developers and businesses of all sizes to create and deploy real-world applications faster.

The two companies also recently collaborated to accelerate edge AI innovation using Qualcomm Dragonwing QCS6490 processor.
