RadiusDC unveils new leadership, brand and website focused on the metro edge

RadiusDC, a data center platform focused on the metro edge market, has announced several fundamental changes to its senior management team. It also unveiled its new brand and website.

IPI Partners (IPI) sponsors RadiusDC. IPI is an investment firm concentrated only on data centers and other real assets associated with technology and connectivity.

IPI had earlier announced its acquisition of the 1500 Champa building in Denver, Colorado and its partnership with Mike Krza to develop a strategy for RadiusDC.

According to the company, Mr. Krza will use his two decades of digital infrastructure strategy and operations experience from his previous roles as COO and CFO at Flexential (and its predecessor, ViaWest) to lead the team.

“The metro edge is an area of incredible growth and opportunity in a connectivity-driven economy,” Krza said. “We’re filling a gap in the market with our new data center platform, starting with the impressive facility at 1500 Champa.”

The company has hired Joe Guerriero as Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel and Mitch Coan as Director of Strategic Finance to help support expansion efforts. Before this appointment, Guerriero had significant operational and legal experience at Flexential. Meanwhile, Coan has extensive financial management and M&A expertise from his prior roles with Zayo Group’s corporate development and strategy teams.

RadiusDC said it has an extensive pipeline of identified expansion possibilities in additional major cities. It intends to continue acquiring and developing strategic data center capacity in important US metro markets.

Meanwhile, 1500 Champa provides excellent connectivity throughout the Western US, with carrier hotels and data centers. The three-story building has around 138,000 square feet of data center and office space. Additionally, it has the potential to support up to 10 megawatts of power capacity.

RadiusDC plans to invest in 1500 Champa to improve connections and colocation opportunities. They will complete the first construction stage by late 2022.

Christopher Jensen, managing director of IPI, said, “IPI is excited to launch the RadiusDC platform and to have the opportunity to work with a talented and growing management team led by Mike Krza. Through RadiusDC, our goal is to address the evolving and growing needs of our core hyperscale and enterprise customer base at the metro edge in connectivity-rich locations.”
