Premio, Inc, a rugged edge and embedded computing tech provider, will unveil its RCO-1000-EHL fanless mini industrial computer, with Intel 11th generation Celeron J series processors, at ATX West in February of 2023. This compact computer offers a 60% performance boost and features modular I/O and 5G connectivity. The company says its size makes it ideal for automation systems, industrial controls, transportation, telematics and surveillance applications at the rugged edge.

“With the proliferation of data generation from IoT sensors and devices at the rugged edge, IT to OT convergence models can benefit from industrial fanless computers for x86 processing, storage, and wireless connectivity,” said Dustin Seetoo, the product marketing director at Premio.

The RCO-1000-EHL computer is one of the smallest industrial computers available. It features fanless and cableless designs for increased durability in extreme environments, wide temperature ranges, wide input voltages, shock resistance and vibration resistance.

The RCO-1000-EHL is a low-power IIoT solution featuring the Intel Celeron J6413 10-nanometer chip. This chip delivers 2.3x single and multi-thread performance, 5x graphic performance, and 4x more memory capacity than its predecessor. With this new release, Premio says the RCO-1000-EHL can support software applications, up to three independent 4K displays and comes with 15-year lifecycle support.

“The RCO-1000-EHL addresses specific demands for size, durability, and increased performance in a compact size,” explained Seetoo.

Direct communication to other machines and network devices is enabled onboard the solution. An optional power ignition module is available to ensure the safety of sensitive data in automotive settings. Additionally, hardware security is provided by TPM 2.0, dual SIM sockets are available for data telemetry (4G/LTE & 5G) and a variety of mounting options.

“Key features such as the latest x86 processors, modular I/O options, and fanless cooling designs enable our OEM and system integration customers with a well-rounded computing solution for 24/7 operation,” Seetoo said.

Premio specializes in providing computing technology from the edge to the cloud. Premio says it provides product engineering, flexible speed to market and manufacturing transparency from strategic locations worldwide. Premio says it will demonstrate its RCO-1000-EHL mini fanless PC series at Booth 4489 during ATX West from February 7th-8th.

“As a manufacturer of industrial computers, Premio is committed to delivering scalable computing solutions that require ultimate reliability in the harshest environments,” added Seetoo.

Last summer, Premio unveiled a new series of single-board computers (SBCs) for industrial use. Premio said its new SBC provides high performance and includes multi-core capabilities and visual effects from the AMD chip design.
