Micron backs SiMa.ai to tighten compute-memory integration for power-constrained edge AI systems

SiMa.ai announced a strategic investment from Micron Technology to enhance its high-performance, power-efficient physical AI solutions for edge applications such as robotics, autonomous systems, and industrial automation.
The partnership emphasizes the coupling of compute with memory architectures to provide best-in-class performance-per-watt for real-world intelligent systems.
SiMa.ai’s Modalix MLSoC platform leverages multi-layered memory hierarchies to handle demanding workloads such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision Language models (VLMs).
Micron’s LPDDR5X memory is integrated into SiMa.ai’s platform, optimizing bandwidth and power efficiency for robotics, autonomous vehicles, and smart industrial systems.

The partnership combines SiMa.ai’s physical AI team with Micron memory technology working together to provide high performance and power efficient AI solutions.
Micron’s investment strengthens SiMa.ai as well as the Modalix platform quickly qualifying its place among physical AI technologies due to an extensive ecosystem of partners in technology, including Arm, Synopsys, TSMC, and others.
