Meta commits to NVIDIA Blackwell and Rubin GPUs in multiyear AI infrastructure expansion

Meta and NVIDIA have revealed a multiyear strategic deal to improve AI infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and data centers.

Meta will use millions of NVIDIA Blackwell and Rubin GPUs, NVIDIA Grace CPUs, and Spectrum-X Ethernet switches to optimize the efficiency of AI workloads.

“We’re excited to expand our partnership with NVIDIA to build leading-edge clusters using their Vera Rubin platform to deliver personal superintelligence to everyone in the world,” says Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta.

Intel and Meta are collaborating on codesigning AI models and architecture necessary for Meta’s large-scale personalization and recommendation systems.

NVIDIA Confidential Computing will help bring AI features to WhatsApp, while keeping user data private and secure.

Meta wants to build a unified architecture that can further scale and leverage NVIDIA Cloud Partner deployments.

The collaboration is expected to accelerate use of energy-efficient AI computing and expand the Arm software ecosystem, including future rollouts of NVIDIA Vera CPUs.

Meta’s researchers and engineers will rely on NVIDIA’s full-stack platform to help create next-generation AI capabilities.

This partnership underscores Meta’s achievements in creating hyperscale data centers and driving innovations in artificial intelligence for billions of users around the world.
