LightEdge adds seasoned CMO Matt Biegacki to its executive team

LightEdge, a provider of secure cloud and colocation, has expanded its executive team with the appointment of former chief marketing officer of Connectria and Tenna, Matt Biegacki.

Biegacki has 15 years of experience heading marketing and commercial teams within the tech industry, and is now responsible for Lightedge’s new customer acquisition, demand generation, and brand development as CMO.

Speaking about Biegacki’s appointment, Jim Masterson, CEO of LightEdge, says: “LightEdge is a nearly 30-year-old company that has hit an inflection point recently, and 2024 will be a critical year for accelerating that growth.

“Most importantly, it will be an important time for guiding our clients through nuanced and often overwhelming shifts in the market. In addition to ensuring the consistency and strength of the LightEdge brand, Matt will guide our internal and external communications, continuing our legacy of leadership and transparency with employees, customers, partners, and prospects.”

When asked about the company he has joined, Biegacki says he has long held great respect for LightEdge.

“When it comes to incredibly secure cloud, colocation and managed services, LightEdge is top of the list, and I’m thrilled to join their ranks,” adds Biegacki.

“LightEdge’s positioning as a market leader in a quickly changing multi-cloud industry/environment and the company’s ability to evolve with those multi-cloud needs is outstanding and where I see tremendous opportunity to grow the business.”

This appointment announcement comes shortly after the company welcomed Rob Carter as its first-ever chief growth officer in October 2023.

Founded in 1996, LightEdge is a hybrid, multi and private cloud managed services provider that owns and operates 12 data centers across the United States, delivering cloud, colocation, connectivity, and managed services. Over the past three years, LightEdge boasts of completing three acquisitions, adding five data centers, expanding its network capacity tenfold, and upgrading its cloud portfolio.
