Lantronix targets defense and smart cities with new edge AI stack at CES 2026

Edge AI and IoT solutions provider Lantronix will unveil new edge AI solutions at CES 2026, held from Jan. 6–9, 2026 at Wynn Las Vegas.  

The company will demonstrate advances in embedded compute, smart surveillance and autonomous systems powered by Qualcomm chipsets, as well as collaborations with Teledyne FLIR and Vodafone.

Key themes include next-gen System-on-Module (SOM) solutions, an AI-powered smart surveillance ecosystem and high-end compute for robotics and UAVs.

“Lantronix is accelerating its leadership in the fast-growing edge AI market with new embedded compute, surveillance, and autonomous systems solutions built for the industries shaping our future,” says Saleel Awsare, CEO of Lantronix. “Through deep collaboration with technology leaders, including Qualcomm, Teledyne Flir and Vodafone, Lantronix is delivering high-performance edge AI solutions that make intelligent decisions possible anywhere, in real time.”

Live demonstrations of Teledyne FLIR drones with thermal and RGB video integration for additional situational awareness will also be on display.

Lantronix wants to go after the burgeoning edge AI market for fields like defense and security, smart cities, where real-time use of AI is required. The company serves critical applications, such as the U.S. Army’s Short-Range Reconnaissance drone program and smart infrastructure management.

Lantronix recently launched EdgeFabric.ai, a no-code edge AI platform aimed at facilitating and speeding up edge AI application development.
