Green Mountain, Zadara join forces to bring cloud-edge solutions to the Nordic region

Green Mountain, a colocation data center provider, has partnered with Zadara, an edge cloud provider, to provide storage and compute resources in its Nordic region locations.

With Zadara’s Federated Edge program for managed service providers, Green Mountain can offer fully managed, distributed cloud architecture to its customers without investing in additional hardware or technology.

The partnership will allow Green Mountain to offer Zadara Edge Cloud services in the Nordic region, benefiting customers with low capital expenditure outlays, agility, and flexibility.

“This is an exciting opportunity to expand our Zadara Edge Cloud services into the Nordic region with a provider who shares our ethos regarding sustainability and environmental responsibility,” said Kerry Telling, VP of sales EMEA, Zadara.

Green Mountain operates three data center locations within Norway that run on low-cost, 100% renewable power. The data centers use free cooling to create high power efficiency, and the company is committed to sustainable practices.

Green Mountain customers will access Zadara’s cloud services platform with the new partnership. The platform reduces operational complexity by automating end-to-end infrastructure provisioning computing and storage resources.

Zadara offers cloud services in data centers worldwide, including public and private cloud partners. The firm’s staff of specialists provides follow-the-sun services and assistance. Zadara has its main headquarters in Irvine, California, with other locations in Tokyo, Cirencester (UK), Tel Aviv, Yokneam (Israel), Bangalore and Brazil.

“As we look to the future, we are excited to expand the relationship and add further locations with Green Mountain via multiple service provider edge locations,” added Telling.

Zadara partnered with AbbaDox, a cloud-based radiology information SaaS solutions provider, in December 2021. Together, they integrated unlimited platform-edge compute power, low-latency network access, and storage to provide a complete PACS-as-a-Service solution. AbbaDox’s on-demand service extended the company’s current technology stack ecosystem, allowing imaging centers and radiology companies to stay competitive and profitable in a shifting market.
