Edgevana expands into the Aptos Network ecosystem

Edgevana, which offers a marketplace and management platform for distributed infrastructure, has announced it will now be accessible on Aptos’ network ecosystem.

This enables operators and developers to quickly launch a full node and indexer node with simplified steps. Edgevana reports that deploying these nodes requires no more than one minute, providing users access to node decentralization and a private network of Aptos operators.

Edgevana customers can launch an Aptos public full node directly from its marketplace. The Aptos operators will also benefit from the software updates to ensure network synchronization.

“We are thrilled to welcome Edgevana to the Aptos ecosystem. Their one-click node deployment marketplace will make it even easier for node operators and developers alike to join the Aptos network and contribute to its growth,” says a spokesperson for the Aptos Foundation.

In blockchain technology, a full node is a device that stores a copy of the blockchain ledger, ranging from the genesis block up to the most recent block. On the other hand, the indexer node is a specialized node used to index and search blockchain data.

These nodes are integral to edge computing, which requires storing and processing blockchain data at the edge to reduce latency and improve performance. The indexer is designed to maximize efficiency and facilitate fast searchability of blockchain data at the edge, where applications require instantaneous access.

In the past three years, a team of more than 350 developers worldwide worked together to spearhead the Aptos network, designed for optimal smart contract design, system security, performance and decentralization.

“It’s been exciting to collaborate with Aptos and its community to deliver an unparalleled solution that allows operators to go from zero to validating in under 60 seconds while ensuring and guaranteeing the decentralization of the Aptos network,” says Ryan Fay, the co-founder of Edgevana.
