Edge Centres, a data center solution provider, has opened its fifth facility, EC105, in St. Louis, Missouri. The 2 MW, 28,000 square-foot data center was completed within six months.

According to Edge Centres, the new data center features advanced hardware, security features and energy-efficient technologies for performance and reliability. Its strategic positioning in St. Louis helps reduce latency and enables faster data access and delivery across various applications and services. Edge Centres’ commitment to sustainable practices reinforces its environmental responsibility throughout its facilities.

Jon Eaves, CEO of Edge Centres, attributes the rapid growth of the company to its commitment and dedication to clients.

“Our rapid expansion and the opening of our fifth data center are a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing world-class data center service,” he notes. “We are dedicated to helping our clients thrive in the digital age by delivering secure, efficient and high-performance data center solutions.”

The company also recently acquired Hyson International to expand its US operations. Facilitated by Corum Group, the acquisition will enable Edge Centres to extend its reach into tier 2 and 3 markets in the US.

William Hill, the SVP of the Corum Group, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition. He highlights Edge Centres’ commitment to delivering efficient and affordable edge data center solutions to cater to the demands of growing local markets.

“This transaction will allow Edge Centres to expand that vision into the US and accelerate its strategy,” Hill says.

Edge Centres also expanded into Japan in partnership with IT strategy firm Alan Kei Associates, beginning in Q4 2021. Edge Centres says it offers colocation, dark fiber, IP transit and cloud connect services.
