Ambiq’s Apollo510 SoC joins Edge Impulse to boost edge AI efficiency

Ambiq announced its Apollo510 System-on-Chip (SoC) is now supported on the Edge Impulse platform, enabling efficient AI application development for edge devices.
The Apollo510 offers up to 10x higher performance and 3x lower energy consumption compared to its predecessor, Apollo4 Plus. Built on Ambiq’s SPOT platform and powered by an Arm Cortex-M55 CPU with Helium technology, it is ideal for speech recognition, computer vision, healthcare, and industrial automation.
“The Apollo510 is an extraordinary platform for edge AI, as its improvements in energy efficiency and performance enable use cases that weren’t possible before,” says Carlos Morales, VP of AI at Ambiq. “The integration of Apollo510 with Edge Impulse removes key hurdles for both enterprise and startup AI developers, enabling faster, more efficient deployment of edge AI applications.”
Apollo510 has received industry recognition, including the 2024 Embedded World’s Best Hardware award and the 2025 IoT Semiconductor Solution of the Year.
Developers can access Edge Impulse tools to start building scalable AI applications with Apollo510.
This collaboration reduces development friction for both startups and enterprises, enabling faster time-to-market and unlocking broader adoption of intelligent edge solutions across power and resource-constrained environments.
