Premio introduces industrial-edge computer with PoE capabilities

Premio Inc, a rugged edge and embedded computing tech company, has recently unveiled the RCO-3000-CML small form factor PC, powered by Intel 10th Generation Comet Lake embedded processors. According to the company, this fanless industrial computer offers a balance of processing performance and modular I/O configurability.

The Premio EDGEBoost I/O modules offer modular expansion flexibility with access to Power-over-Ethernet technology, allowing power and ethernet data through one cable and reducing cabling costs, the company says.

“Power-over-Ethernet is a key feature in many Industry 4.0 applications that connect to IoT sensors and cameras for computer vision and edge AI analytics,” says Dustin Seetoo, Premio’s product marketing director.

Premio says the RCO-3000-CML series is a powerful and versatile industrial computer featuring PoE support, Intel 10th Generation CPUs with a low 35W TDP and CPU options ranging from Intel Core i3 to Xeon-W processors.

“By focusing on even greater processing power in a small form factor design, the RCO-3000-CML is an industrial computer that delivers x86 performance, I/O connectivity, and hardened reliability for the most intensive workloads at the rugged edge,” says Seetoo.

EDGEboost I/O modules provide seamless integration with all of Premio’s embedded systems due to the standard PCIe protocols on the computer motherboard, the company executives say. The RCO-3000-CML is an industrial-grade, fanless and cableless computer system with a compact design measuring 192 x 227 x 60.3mm. The ruggedized chassis enables the system to operate in a wide temperature range of -25 to 70 Celsius and wide input voltages of 9 to 48VDC for example.

“Our embedded engineers ensure a balance of key technologies in our products, enabling scalable computing options in the harshest environmental settings, as well as allowing our customers to quickly deploy their solution into the market,” adds Seetoo.

Premio will demonstrate Premio’s RCO-3000-CML at ISC West 2023 in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, Premio Inc recently released two new EDGEBoost I/O modules, the EBIO-2M2BK and EBIO-M2MK, at Embedded World 2023 in Nuremberg, Germany. These modules provide edge AI inference, rapid NVMe storage and 5G connectivity for industrial computers.
