Ambiq and CardioMedive unveil edge AI cardiac monitor for continuous care

Ambiq and CardioMedive have partnered to create Medive, a modular AI-powered cardiac care platform using Ambiq’s ultra-low-power Apollo510 MCU.

The Apollo510 employs SPOT technology for energy efficiency, enabling multi-week battery life and seamless connectivity with dual SDIO interfaces. Medive integrates clinical-grade monitoring tools, including ECG, blood pressure, SpO₂, and advanced diagnostic modules like spirometry and thermal imaging.

The platform uses edge AI for real-time anomaly detection, patient alerts, and predictive insights, reducing reliance on cloud-based systems.

Medive was awarded “Medical Innovation of the Year” by the Romanian Healthcare Awards for its advancements in remote cardiovascular monitoring.

“CardioMedive is transforming all phases of the patient’s journey for both in-home and hospital care,” says Fumihide Esaka, CEO of Ambiq. “We are proud to power such an important digital health innovation that makes effective prevention, diagnosis, and disease management more accessible using our ultra-low power solutions.”

The solution aims to improve accessibility to hospital-grade cardiac care in diverse settings, from clinics to homes. Commercial launch is planned for Q3 2026 in Europe and the U.K., with expansion to the U.S., Canada, and Asia-Pacific in 2027.
